Rivlife International Community Centre hosts an annual Wellness Day in May each year.  The aim is to raise health awareness and provide free care through screenings, health education, social services, substance abuse and victim empowerment to members of the community who cannot afford these basic services. Rivlife also partners with medical experts, social service professionals and legal advisers who offer consultation free of charge. Members of the community are identified and offered an invitation to the Wellness day.  In some severe cases, patients are referred to hospitals in the area if necessary. At our wellness day, patients are welcome to seek consultation from:

  • General Health Practitioners
  • Dentists
  • Optometrists
  • Dieticians
  • Hiv/Aids consultants
  • Nurses consulting for Tubercolosis
  • Ambulance emergency services
  • SAPS Youth Desk and Crime Forum
  • Legal advisors
  • Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous
  • APD (Association for Persons with Disabilities)

While we encourage partnership from the medical profession we also offer businesses the opportunity to become exhibitors for the day and provide more information about their services to the individuals and families who attend the event.
