Early Childhood Development (ECD) is a priority in terms of education in South Africa. The value of solid foundational learning concepts at an early age cannot be overemphasized. The Rivlife crèche is an ECD facility for children ages 3 to 6 years’ old. Apart from providing quality education, the provision of such a facility also serves the purpose of allowing parents, especially mothers, to seek employment knowing that their little ones are being taken care off. The long hours that parents find themselves working means that children of a preschool age are often left unattended or with neighbour.
